Welcome to Praetorian Board Games! My name is Josh Horsley, and I am the founder and owner of Praetorian Board Games. I moonlight as a board game designer and publish our small but growing line of games.

I have always been passionate about board games. Ever since I was a kid, I loved nothing more than gathering around a table with friends and family and making memories as we played the newest games. As I grew older, my love for board games only deepened. I spent countless hours reading rulebooks (something my wife still thinks is hilarious to this day), trying out new games, and coming up with ideas for some of my own.

Eventually, in 2018, I decided to turn my passion into a business. That's how Praetorian Board Games was born. My wife and I decided to try our hand at designing and publishing our own line of games. In May of 2021, CastleScape was successfully funded on Kickstarter by 921 backers, and our true publishing journey began.

At Praetorian Board Games, we are dedicated to providing our backers and customers with the best possible experience. We believe that board games have the power to bring people together, to create and provide lasting memories, and to inspire creativity and imagination.
